Freelance Model - Truck by L-X Freelance Model - Truck by L-X
Heres the result of my first 3D freelance job. The client is designing a recycling truck, it is NOT my own design, so please do not critique the design. And no, I have no idea how it works either. So dont ask. :P

Entire project from scratch to what you see here took 8 hours (excluding render times which were not billed).

It's a cute design! I don't know much about this stuff, but you managed to make it look very real. I could actually imagine seeing this on the street.

It looks good yes, but wouldn't it be a bit hard to get it over speed bumps in the road.

Unusual design, but nice modelling job. But... 8 hours? O.o That seems pretty quick!

Yea, I've had alot of practice at modeling cars etc, so I've gotten pretty quick at it. Turned out very cheap for the guy I was doing this for, since I only charged NZ$20 an hour. (And the 8 hours is excluding render times, from what I remember)

wow, you should probably either increase you're rates, or say it took you longer ;P That's some pretty good work, and the guy definetly got a very good deal...

Great stuff though, cheers.

Yea, I've pretty much doubled my rate since then, haha. But this guy was a good mate, so it's hardly fair to charge him the normal rate. ;)

Thanks man.

That looks ABSOLUTELY Spectacular. You yourself may not have designed it, but whoever did is an undeniable Genius!

Pass the word to the man : You're too good for this world.

I look at this, and I think...
1. That the compartment on top looks like some kind of heat shield that slides down into place during re-entry. (Don't ask, I don't know either.)
2. I think this is the coolest munincipal vehicle ever.

1. Or it flips upside down and turns into a boat... Haha.
2. Agreed there.

The design is not mine, the modeling and rendering is. I created this from scratch, so... it is by my hand.

There are very few details since it was modeled in just a day, and I was not supplied with very detailed drawings to model off.

The Audi models you made, did you model them yourself? How long did they take?

The client is a family friend, so I didn't want to charge too much. It was NZ$20 and hour, at 8 hours, NZ$160 - Very good deal for him.
